Nomadic carpets,woven in the eastern cities of Iran,Are hand-woven using botanical-coloured fibers and hand -spun wool.Weaving these carpets using no actual designing makes them unique and they are created by these people using their sheer imagination like creating a master-piece.Nomadic ethnic groups have innovated unique designs considering the traditions and customs and symbols of their natural surroundings like mountains,… And when it comes to dying the fibers of these carpets ,for dying them red ,Ronas is used ,for black colour walnut skin,for yellow saffron and for blue Lapis lazuli stone powder are utilised.
Plus ,the goat hair used for weaving these carpets make poisonous creatures like scorpions not approach the capers as they hate the smell.
Regarding the authenticity, it should be mentioned that new carpets are not available in the market as they are woven for their use but not for sale and commerce .So if you see new carpets I should say they are not considered authentic as they are not hand -spun and botanical colours are not used for dying the fibers .
Finally ,I should say that you can walk on the woven dreams of the people weaving them and enjoy getting to know more about Iranian culture and customs concurrently .These carpets are awsome dating back to 70 years and can be well-preserved for at least 200 years later . Enjoy having one
